Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "F. A. Paley Esq. with Prof. Churchill Babington's compliments." The text lists 184 coins. A scarce exhibition catalogue compiled by Churchill Babinton (1821-1889), English classical scholar, archaeologist, and naturalist. In his lectures, illustrated with examples from his own collection of coins and vases, he dealt chiefly with Greek and Roman pottery and numismatics. He catalogued the classical manuscripts in the University Library at Cambridge and the Greek and English coins in the Fitzwilliam Museum.
