Inscribed on the half-title: "Tim / Decisions Determine Destination! Your Grateful Brother John Irwin / Apollo 15." A small leaflet is loosely inserted in the book titled "Footprints on the Moon," and is also inscribed: "Tim / Love or Jesus / Aim high! Jim Irwin." Irwin was Lunar Module pilot for Apollo 15, the fourth human lunar landing. He was the eighth person to walk on the moon. He became a devout born-again Christian after returning from space. A fine copy of Irwin's lavishly illustrated recollection of his space flight, inscribed and with a further signature on an inserted pamphlet that reflected his religious ideals.
