In the first letter, Rukeyser writes: "Once you asked me to send you some short poems, saying you did not know I had written any. – Here are four:" In the second: "And three more (all of yesterday's and today's have been published)." The seven poems total 41 lines; titles include "M-Day's Child," "In Our Time," "Fragile," and "The Power of Suicide." (BA).
