The plates include stills from Feuillade's 'Les Vampires', Murnau's 'Nosferatu', Marlene Dietrich in von Sternsberg's 'Shanghai Express', and Gary Cooper and Ann Harding in Hathaway's 'Peter Ibbetson.' The Greek author, filmaker, and critic was born Adonis A. Kyrou, but went by Ado Kyrou.
