FIRST EDITION. Folding frontispiece with a view of the ship's exterior and accompanying diagrams of two decks. This former ship-of-the-line was converted into a warehouse and finally a prison-ship anchored on the East River. Dring was captured and held for several months of 1782 in dreadful conditions which he describes in detail in this book.
