The illustrator Hermann Ebers (German, 1881-1955) was the son of the Egyptologist and writer Georg Ebers, and he trained under Hackel, Herterich and Wilhelm von Zügel in Munich. His works appeared in numerous exhibitions in Munich, Leipzig and Bremen. A beautifully printed and bound edition of Mozart's celebrated opera, with the libretto by da Ponte.
