An early, lifetime, edition of Booerhave's classic text. "The Aphorisms represent one of Boerhaave’s best and most influential works" (Garrison-Morton-Norman 2199, edition of 1709). As with other Boerhaave editions, this is signed by the publishers on the verso of the title. Unfortunate experience with pirated editions had caused Boerhaave to insist that publishers sign attestations authenticating the legitimacy of their books.
